A kicker competition? Dolphins sign K Connor Barth to two-year deal

Filed under: NFL — admin @ 1:00 pm

A year after Dan Carpenter came in and beat out incumbent kicker Jay Feely, Carpenter suddenly faces competition for his job.

The Dolphins signed kicker Connor Barth to a two-year deal, according to agent Donal Henderson.

Barth kicked for Kansas City last season, but was released July 28. Former Dolphins kicking coach Steve Hoffman now coached special teams with the Chiefs.

Barth, 23, was of 10 of 12 on field goals and hit all 24 extra-point attempts for the Chiefs.
